Linen is Better

Linen is a natural resource that is refined from the cellulose fibers that grow inside the stalks of the flax plant.

The flax plants are harvested by being pulled from the ground.  They are left in the field to soften and start breaking down. The fiber is collected from the plants and stored sheltered for  a few months to continue the softening process.

The fibers go through a combing process which removes excess impurities and broken fibers. The long fibers are twisted slightly and then spun to achieve a smoother, softer yarn. 

Prior to any weaving the yarns are examined for strength, evenness and color. Once certified, they are integrated into the weaving process.

Linen is extremely durable due to the thickness and strength of the fibers. This allows it to withstand a lot more than other common textiles.

Talalay is Better

Latex is one of the most durable natural materials used in bedding today. It derives from the sap of a tree species called Hevea brasiliensis, also commonly known as the rubber tree.

Latex is harvested from the trees by slitting the bark. Once slit, a milky white latex seeps out into a collection can.

The liquid latex is poured into a mold and sealed closed. A vacuum is created to disperse liquid latex through out the mold.

The liquid is then instantly flash frozen to prevent any particles from settling. Once frozen, it is then flash heated to vulcanize into permanent solid form.

Each piece of latex is put through a 5 stage fresh water washing process which removes latex proteins, residual soaps, and curing agents.

Latex is the ultimate material for bedding. It relaxes the muscles, relieves tension and provides consistently conforming comfort.

Due to its unique cell structure, it breathes up to 7 times better than other foams which provides you with a much cooler sleep. It is also hypo-allergenic, resistant to mold, mildew and dust mites.
